Better at baking cookies

This attempt is better

See my previous attempt if you need before reading

So if you’ve read my last attempt At baking cookies post you’ll notice they don’t look like proper cookies. They looked more like Ice cream when I tried baking the cookies but Im honestly satisfied that is better that is better than nothing especially that I wanted to get into baking to try making cookies.

For every baking class we get feedback with how our food goes. And everyone was insulting a little bit on my cookies, since I had a terrible baking I think the number one thing I should‘ve done was put less flour when I do the baking. Also they said my cookies looked terrible since the inside looked terrible like I should’ve cut things with a knife and not less instead cutting things with a spoon. Also I should’ve not freezed the cookies before baking it’s really stranged to freeze cookies.

So after the baking of bread from last week because I needed to make a promise of baking once a week. I decided to go low effort and made another effort for making cookies since it was sembreak and the teacher didn’t post any new homework and the deadline of bread was due next next week and I’m done. I thought so that its some effort that we bake some cookies.

So I started baking some cookies since it was a pretty easy bake to do, probably the easiest than the other scratch baking foods I did. But since I did the cookies for the once a week baking plans so I started baking, And here’s what we did put all the ingredients in the bowl, and I made some other modifications too including lessening the flour to 1 1/2 cup for baking the cookies since the flour was too much 3 cups of flour is too much for a recipe and my dad contemplated about the butter use should be 1/2 of butter instead of using a whole batch of butter for a cookie recipe.

There’s still the modifications I made from before 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and the 1/2 cup of sugar for both brown and white so it becomes a total of 1 cup of sugar for the cookies. Which less sugar content than ever expected when it comes to baking a recipe, I pulled everything from the previous recipe, and then mixed all the ingridients together then afterwards I decided to not freeze the cookies I’m baking because that’ll be a disasterous attempt (Also because I need to stop believing that everything in baking needs to be in the freezer before actually baking it).

Since I thought it’ll be a good thing to bake Cookies again for the week, I might as well experiment with these ingridients modifications (There are ingridients I already modified such as the 1/2 cup of sugar and the 1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract I used in the previous recipe. Turns out that cookies are sort of the wrong thing to freeze so I mixed everything and put the cookies in the refrigerator for 30 minutes since I realized this is the standard time of baking cookies. Also because I realized that freezing cookies was a bad idea, a disaster real quick so I followed the technique of what I’ve read on the internet that I should at least freeze the cookies for 30 minutes before baking.

So I did the technique of freezing cookies in the refrigerator, for 30 minutes and they came out just fine I just used the ice cream scooper to whip up the cookies and added a nut to the cookies. Its just there for balance anyways so afterwards I baked them (The first batch we put too much of the dough in the oven) and the cookies ended up to be an sticked together cookies that don’t look good. So we got those cookies and instead of putting that much we put like six in the oven after that first batch and the cookies don’t taste terrible at all. I baked till late at night but that’s fine I slept in a few minutes afterwards.

In fact they taste better than the previous batch I baked and honestly I’m more satisfied at this batch than the previous one and now I’m sort of fullfilling my childhood promise that I’ll be baking really good cookies and I’ve always attempted this in childhood but it always look unsatisfying. I got the soft chewy texture I like and something sweet that makes a lot of sense than all my childhood baking attempts that I’ve never really got to review about it anyways. But its better than the last one that’s probably the most disasterous baking attempt I ever had.

The next day I needed to bake again since my relatives ordered and all, and we thought I’ll be sold out well I had enough ingridients for all my relatives and returned all the cookies I bake that’s just for the store. Then I baked the following insuructions that was mentioned earlier, and I packaged them all for my relatives. The following day which was a Friday and because it was a sembreak (I baked the bread last week anyways). The cookies got sold out by Saturday and I delivered all the cookies to my relatives and they paid the money since I got some money out of this whole thing again since most of this website is a business.

Thankfully I could now practice baking once a week along with having some classes since I need to have some cash on the side for things I need. Along with this website being a little bit of a marketing scheme and a blog/diary of proof that this business exists anyways. I try to blog every week and try to bake once a week even when I have school. So if I make another blog it might be more filler and it means that I baked cookies for that week. When the summer vacation comes I could at least bake a little more outside of breaks and at least bake less bread might bake bread once a week.
