Focacia Bread

A garlic style bread for cooking


Well I’d seriously baked the bread for the last week since something came up with the teacher. I’ll just explain so I get baking classes every Wednesday and Thursday (I won’t mention the time) but on those days I go to baking class with my classmates and in that there’s the obvious discussion of baking.


However on Thursday the teacher would livestream how to bake the product we’re

assigned to bake. Then we’d ask questions while teacher livestreams the whole video and himself baking. Then the teacher while the product is in the oven would discuss a baking concept while obviously waiting for the product to bake and the class would be done then when the demo food is out of the oven the teacher would post the results on the stream.


The teacher then assigns homework to us which we have to bake what he demonstrates on Thursday afterwards on a Wednesday we’d show pictures of what we bake discuss about the results then everyone gives feedback on your baked product. This is basically how my baking class works.


The teacher promises that we’ll bake once a week however there are weeks we can’t meet up like the midsem break since we have no classes however I do get more spare time to bake whatever I want the following week which is just become a routine at this point to bake everything in advanced since I now started this homemade baking business and people buy it.



So instead of procrastinating and uh stopping the business I just kept baking every week so last week I baked Focacia Bread which the flavoring of the bread requires 9 tablespoons of Olive Oil, a package of dry yeast, a cup of warm water, 25 ounces of active dry yeast, a cup of Semolina Flour, salt, 2 cups of bread flour and a teaspoon of sea salt.


Then I just added everything together in order with just using the ingridients list mixed it I noticed the bread was much softer than the White Amish Bread I baked. So after mixing everything I kneaded the dough since

bread must always be kneaded

I’d just kneaded to bread and noticed it was softer than the White Amish Bread then I put the bread in the oven and afterwards I baked the Focacia Bread again since I needed to bake for my family since they want to sell the bread. I was going to originally sell the bread to the store. But I kept thinking that the bread and it can’t be sold in the store but that’s fine I sold it to some of my relatives.


I baked six loaves of Focacia Bread, my dad bought everyone pasta for dinner because the Focacia Bread mixes well with pasta and we all ate pasta and it tasted great. I also tested my oven thermometer and my baking is much better than without the Oven Thermometer so I decided to keep the Oven Thermometer since I needed to test it up and I rated it online so there’s a little discount for my account. Then I just talked about how good the oven thermometer is, this is what I’ve wrote.


I like this oven thermometer that I could use in general whenever I need to heat my oven. My baking got better when I used this oven thermometer.

After baking the Focacia Bread I then made my art project which is a miniature bed but that’s something I won’t talk about since this is a baking blog.


I gave the bread to my relatives since we met up in the mall we went around and looking at new things I bought a little more baking supplies since there isn’t much to buy specifically I just bought a turn table for frosting cakes which I might experiment with it during the summer days. (I think too much of this blog is me wanting to get out of baking class.)


But I’m thankful that this business is one of the factors that made me do things in advanced since baking once a week should be a habit I develop for business. I made some money out of the whole ordeal of baking and at the same time I have something to save. I also just bought something that’s totally worth it just the price alone. Which is almost 600 pesos but that’s ok something pricier is totally worth it.


I bought for 600 pesos a portable cupcake/cake holder which is used for bringing and displaying cupcakes and cake to and from the store without messing up the frosting which I find pretty interesting. I also bought for an additional 100 pesos a birthday box for my friend’s birthday gift and someone’s paying me to make it since its her birthday and this is business.


Thankfully I baked the Focacia Bread in advanced since the teacher not just went hiking and got stuck in the mountain since he hikes a lot as a hobby and is an experienced hiker (he got stuck in the mountains when he planned to show the Focacia demo) and I baked that same week to fullfill the business and the baking once a week promise. I need to bake once a week these days especially if I’m running a business. The teacher had another adventure trip in Mindoro as of this blog post to help with the campaigning of the 2022 Philippine presidental election.


Of course since its an education ministry rule you can’t explicitly mention your political endorcements because it’ll start conflicts with other people, the teacher gave us a hint of who he’s supporting then asked What is a good quality a good leader must have to acknoledge his post. My teacher now says that my classmates now have to bake two things the Focacia Bread and the Midsem exam bake but now I’m thankful I finished the Focacia Bread and now have more time to do other things and maybe bake more things.
