My latest attempt at Cookies

So I was passionate for baking thanks to those yummy cookies baked by professionals.
I think that day was the day, I learned to properly baked cookies when I was younger I tried baking cookies, and it's there from time to time. But I sort of gave up at some point when it comes to baking cookies, since cookies were the one that got me into baking. I baked mostly to attempt baking cookies, the other one would've been tarts, though I've never attempted baking tarts and when I was younger I thought baking cookies were a simpler recipe.
Then after a couple of baking cookie attempts, I simply started giving up on baking I honestly found it time-consuming, and they always end up with cookies that I don't like to eat. So for a while I just bought a lot of things from bakeries that are usually store baked cookies, and they taste better than my baking, since I never really was good at baking to begin with.
So when I got to eleventh grade for the second semester, I had to choose an elective then when the choices are Robotics and Baking it's one subject over the other I choose baking since that blends more usefulness than Robotics and I can always sell whatever I baked compared to Robotics from then on. So I decided baking class.
I probably already told this story several times anyway, so feel free to stop skipping till here.
The teacher gave us homework to bake cookies, and its probably the one thing I looked forward to throughout the baking class. Since I'm not really sure what other baked stuff, I wanted (it's sort of like free food, but there's school tuition anyway). This is probably what I looked most forward to, sure the school cafeteria sells cookies, and they taste delicious, but you wouldn't have access to your school cafeteria in a pandemic unless your country decided to go for face to face classes. So instead, why not bake your own cookies?
So another Thursday in baking class, since every baking class demonstration was the

teacher livestreaming himself bake while we all ask the teacher questions, and he tells about what you should do in baking. So I just watched the teacher use a mixer and decide to bake a batch of cookies for maybe an hour. After the class when it was dismissal, the teacher like he always does post the results of his baking in the online Google Classroom platform. He then complained that his cookies were too sweet, and he should've reduced the sugar.
Of course its a recipe for Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies it must be sweet right well the sugar for this is actually two cups of sugar 1 cup of brown and 1 cup of white sugar. This is one of the first things I figured out since teacher talked about reducing the sugar down to 50% on his Google Classroom post nothing new but if you want less sweet cookies well reducing the sugar is an obvious first step.
My dad goes shopping for cookie ingredients on the day that recipe is given, and on Friday I bake the cookies because I need to bake for class. Then on the day of baking I simply figured out another thing which the teacher did not, he pulled too much vanilla extract of that recipe alone. And another mistake I did was that I lacked butter, but that was while we're baking before figuring out that I needed to put another half for the butter. This is while we're mixing stuff in the mixer and all.

Finally, when I was done mixing, this is when I figured out my teacher put too much vanilla extract. So I asked my parents to taste the batter as well to make sure that 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract is enough for baking the cookies. So we decided not to add anymore and decided that we'll put all the dough of the cookies into a freezer bag and freeze the cookies for four hours, and this is where my second to last mistake of baking cookies is at.
So I decided to check the freezer for the current state of the cookies is at, it was 6:00 pm my dad was worried that we froze the dough too much, and I agreed with him so that we don't have to bake yet so my dad left it out to thaw for maybe an hour or so before baking the cookies. After an hour, we started baking cookies the recipe says to bake for 10 minutes, but I highly doubt 10 minutes is enough to bake the cookies. So I baked it for 15 and then 20 minutes and when I pulled the cookies out of the oven the cookies taste good but too crunchy and the filling went dry (metaphorically).
I decided to stick with 15 minutes for all the batches of cookies I baked afterwards because I need a softer and chewier with filling cookies and it sort of worked because every batch after the first batch it was the results I wanted, so I sold the cookies to the store and that got sold out, and I sold out almost all the batches to my relatives and my teacher who seriously wanted to taste the cookies. My cousin said there's too much flour as well, but that's fine because I never realized that 3 cups of flour is too much next time when I'm baking cookies, going to make it 1 and 1/2.
Because of the recipe's ratios, I decided to give advice to my classmates to make the sugars 1/2 cup, the flour to 1 and 1/2 cup and the vanilla extract to be 1 teaspoon so that they won't end up with the same baking mistakes as me since that recipe has a ton of baking mistakes.
And that is my latest baking attempt, the one that I'm most satisfied with.
