Baking Bread

So this is something useful, at least I don't have to go to the store anymore for it.

Baking class as usual well because of the lack of time the teacher was unsure whether to bake red velvet cupcakes or bread, then he talks about how cupcakes are bread. However, I have a counterargument that almost all deserts are just bread with a combo of frosting or icing. I think that the only time that this argument doesn’t apply is when one is baking cookies or pies but maybe that’s just another story to tell.

So the teacher assigns the typical baking homework that the class does and its to bake a white Amish bread its generally considered a sandwich bread according to the research I’ve done and the bread that’s usually sold in stores is what its called a sandwich bread since it was a question that I generally asked in class while baking.

Then again I asked my dad to buy some ingredients for the bread, there’s things I’ve never particularly experimented with such as yeast but then again the general thing for baking things not bread includes mostly raw eggs and butter. Yeast is like having that stuff combined and is what makes half the bread rises and all. When you bake bread in the oven the yeast rises and all.

After I got my ingredients I put the dry ingredients the flour and the salt. Then I pulled my wet ingredients such as yeast, sugar vegetable oil and the cups of warm water I stirred that into a bowl manually I didn’t use a mixer and I wish I had a standing mixer but I clearly don't have any standing mixer and I'll get one soon in the future once this whole baking test turns out great and all. I mixed it all manually then after adding everything the dough sort of hardened and I had trouble mixing the dough because the bread dough started to harden after a couple of minutes I asked my dad to help me with mixing manually.

So this tricky part is kneading the bread I couldn't tell how long I'm kneading or if I'm kneading my bread correctly because really I'll struggle with kneading bread and this is my first time kneading bread and then I told myself to knead the bread as if I was rolling clay because kneading bread as I’ve seen in whenever I watch professional bakers bake and my teacher bake too. I made sure that there’s flour on the side of the table just for the bread to be too dry.

So I knead and added some flour till the bread is pretty smooth then after kneading the bread is smooth enough I put the yeast in an open air container to give time for the bread dough to rise before putting the dough in the oven. I started making my second batch of dough while the first batch of bread dough is rising. Since its better to get started on the second batch while waiting for the dough to start rising. So I repeated the process for the second batch of the bread and even did the kneading process the same as the first bread. Then after kneading the bread I left it to rise. I then got the first dough, then my dad sliced it in half I put the dough in the bread pan then pulled it in the oven.

Did a little bit of waiting for the oven and did some other homework and waited for my dad to buy some dinner even if I had bread. Afterwards I did some research on things like how to slide down the stairway I have no plans to do it and then did some looking on the subreddit of r/kidsarestupid just for a little bit of the laughs. After a lot of waiting my dad arrived with my dinner and then the bread was ready to pull the bread out of the oven then I cooled down the bread. Then I sliced the bread too in general since one couldn’t fit in a container and then I sold some of the bread and then in the store.

But the whole thing was successful since the bread got the sold out eventually even if I

had three loaves. I ended up thinking I should cut one of the loaves since it won’t fit the container however the second two other loaves was just put in a plastic bag since I realized it shouldn’t be cut. That‘s all I must say on baking some of the construction workers because there’s frequent construction of houses in the village brought some of the bread. Then one of the neighbors bought the half loaf and I’ve got some money from some of the endeavors of bread.

The bread tasted soft and a little chewy its still bread, my dad sliced the bread with the knife my dad had it for its dinner. The bread is a sandwich loaf but that’s fine since I’m selling that stuff in the store (which ends up getting sold anyways). Made some cash out of the bread and all which is nothing special. My dad gave some of the bread to my dog since he keeps asking for it and absolutely loves the bread so I baked some bread that my dog loves eating (meaning that its dog friendly).

In the future I might allow and take pre orders for bread since the bread dough could make a maximum of two loaves of bread, and might get a standing mixer at some point in time even though I have a more expensive hand mixer than a stand mixer but its only a wedding gift from my parents.

I remember the following week on a Monday the homework of baking bread was brought up and we’re wondering when its due thankfully its due next week which is a planned break by the school which is called sembreak or a semester break for short. But I already have something in mind to bake for sembreak which you could check out a post for it soon in the blog.

Keep the watch for next week for my improved cookies.
